Invited by the Prince of Songkla University in Thailand and the Daffodil International University in Bangladesh, a delegation led by Vice President Liu Tiefeng visited the universities above from March 14 to 21, 2018.
During the visit in Prince of Songkla University, the delegation was warmly received by his counterpart, Dr. Pattara Aiyarak. The cooperation between the two universities was discussed by the delegation and Dr. Nararak Leesakul, Dean of the College of Science, Dr. Chutima Tantikitti, Dean of College of Natural Resources, Dr. Thitiwan Cheewawiphas, Director of Department of Chinese Literature, and Ms. Salma Kosumphat, Director of the International Office. Both sides hoped to cooperate in the field of scientific research and student exchanges. The two sides also conducted in-depth and detailed discussions on degree study and scholarships.
During the visit in Daffodil International University, President Yusuf M. Islam specially initiated a discussion with the deans of English Department, Biotechnology Department and Computer Science Department in terms of teacher exchange, and studying for a master's degree in biotechnology for Bangladeshi’s students in our school as well. In the welcoming ceremony of Daffodil International University, which was attended by the CEO and the president, the CEO Md. Sabur Khan expressed his appreciation to Liu tiefeng’s delegation for the cooperation opportunities that Mr. Liu brought, hoping the cooperation between two sides can bear fruit. Meanwhile, two sides set up “Chinese Language and Culture Center” in Daffodil International University; besides, how to manage the center has been discussed in detail.
The delegation’s visit has achieved expected results, and Liu represented our university to sign MOUs with Prince of Songkla University in Thailand and Daffodil International University in Bangladesh.
