On the morning of January 5^th,the university authorities includingLiu Heyun,President of HUHST, Zhou Faming,Vice President,and Chen Zhiguo, Vice President,led relevant personnel from Officeof TeachingAffairs, International Office, School of Marxism and School of Foreign Languages, etc. to inspect thepreschool Education joint program between HUHST and Bath Spa University (BSU) at the School of Education.

President Liuapproved ofthe workcarried out so faronthe joint program, and gave some advice on the subsequentwork of the program. He stated that relevant personnel should strengthen the understanding of runningthe joint education program. The success of this projectwill havea great impact on the development ofour university. School of Education Sciences should playamajor role in therunning of the program, and otherofficesand schools should make a concerted effortto ensure the smooth operation of the program. We shouldstrengthenthe educational reform, optimize course system, change teaching mode and teaching method, and enhance the English proficiency and professional application ability of students inthis program. Takingthe development of this joint programas an opportunity, we should focus on facultydevelopment,improving education facilitiesand course construction. Finally, we should introduce advanced teaching theory and resourcesto promote transformationof our university.

Liu Chaoliang,Dean of School of Education, reported the work onthe programin the previous phase, and posed questions demanding prompt solution, such aslack ofteaching staff,facility improvement, course implementation, etc.
